This Privacy Policy governs the manner in which LA Mattress Store, Inc dba Los Angeles Mattress Stores aka LA Mattress collects, uses, maintains and discloses information collected from users (each, a "User") of the www.mattressstoreslosangeles.com website ("Site"). This privacy policy applies to the Site and all products and services offered by Los Angeles Mattress Stores.

Personal identification information

We may collect personal identification information from Users in a variety of ways, including, but not limited to, when Users visit our site, place an order, respond to a survey, fill out a form, and in connection with other activities, services, features or resources we make available on our Site. Users may be asked for, as appropriate, name, email address, mailing address, phone number, credit card information. Users may, however, visit our Site anonymously. We will collect personal identification information from Users only if they voluntarily submit such information to us. Users can always refuse to supply personally identification information, except that it may prevent them from engaging in certain Site related activities.

How we use collected information

Sensitive and private data exchange between the Site and its Users happens over a SSL secured communication channel and is encrypted and protected with digital signatures.

Sharing your personal information

We do not sell personal information in exchange for money. We share personal information with service providers who process it on our behalf under contract: our e-commerce and payments platform (Shopify), delivery and white-glove installation partners, analytics providers (Google Analytics and PostHog), our product-review platform (Judge.me), and error-monitoring services (Sentry). Some analytics or advertising cookies may be considered "sharing" under California law; you can opt out at any time on our Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information page or by enabling the Global Privacy Control signal in your browser, which we honor. We may also share generic aggregated demographic information not linked to any personal identification information with our business partners for the purposes outlined above.

Your California privacy rights (CCPA/CPRA)

This section applies to California residents and supplements the rest of this Privacy Policy. It reflects the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended, including the regulations in effect as of January 1, 2026.

Categories of personal information we collect

In the preceding 12 months (and consistent with our practices since January 1, 2022) we have collected the following categories of personal information:

  • Identifiers, name, email address, postal address, phone number (collected when you place an order, sign up for our newsletter, book a delivery, or submit a form).
  • Commercial information, products purchased or considered, order history, delivery preferences.
  • Internet or other electronic network activity, pages visited, device and browser type, and interactions with our Site, collected automatically through analytics cookies.
  • Approximate geolocation, the general area derived from your IP address (never precise GPS location).
  • Inferences, sleep-preference and comfort recommendations derived from your answers if you use our sleep quiz.

We collect this information directly from you, automatically from your device when you use the Site, and from our e-commerce platform when you place an order. We do not collect biometric information, neural data, precise geolocation, or the contents of private communications. Payment card details are processed by Shopify's secure checkout; we do not store them. We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes other than those permitted by the CCPA, so we do not offer a separate "Limit the Use of My Sensitive Personal Information" control.

Your rights

  • Right to know / access, request the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, including information collected before the last 12 months (for information collected on or after January 1, 2022).
  • Right to delete, request deletion of personal information we collected from you, subject to legal exceptions (e.g., completing your order, warranty records).
  • Right to correct, request correction of inaccurate personal information.
  • Right to opt out of sale or sharing, direct us not to sell or share your personal information. We honor the Global Privacy Control signal as an opt-out for your browser, and we display confirmation when the signal is honored.
  • Right to non-discrimination. We will never deny you goods or services, charge different prices, or provide a different level of service because you exercised any of these rights.

How to exercise your rights

We will acknowledge your request within 10 business days and respond within 45 calendar days (extendable once by a further 45 days with notice). Opt-out requests are honored within 15 business days and do not require identity verification. For access, deletion, and correction requests we will verify your identity using the email or phone number associated with your records. You may designate an authorized agent to submit requests on your behalf; we may ask the agent for proof of your written permission and verify your identity directly.

Retention

We retain personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above: order and warranty records for the life of the applicable warranty and as required by tax law; marketing-list information until you unsubscribe; and analytics data on our providers' standard retention schedules. When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it.

We do not knowingly collect or sell the personal information of consumers under 16 years of age.

Third party websites

Users may find advertising or other content on our Site that link to the sites and services of our partners, suppliers, advertisers, sponsors, licensors and other third parties. We do not control the content or links that appear on these sites and are not responsible for the practices employed by websites linked to or from our Site.
