Two things to clear up first. We do not carry Sealy Posturepedic, and we do not have a showroom in Encino. Our nearest location to Encino is Studio City, about ten minutes east on Ventura Boulevard. If you are in the valley looking for a zoned hybrid mattress and Sealy was simply the name you knew, this page is for you.
What the Posturepedic system does
Posturepedic is Sealy's name for zoned coil support. The coils through the middle third of the mattress are reinforced, because that is where your hips and lower back put the most weight, and an unreinforced coil layer lets that section sink further than your shoulders and legs. The result is a spine that curves at night in a way it does not when you stand.
The principle is correct and it is worth shopping for. What is worth knowing is that it is not proprietary in any meaningful sense. Zoned pocketed coils are standard construction across quality hybrids now, and several brands on our floor build them.
Zoned hybrids we carry
- Stearns & Foster. Same parent company as Sealy and Tempur-Pedic, positioned a tier above Posturepedic in that company's own range. The closest match to what you were looking at, with denser materials. See the Stearns & Foster collection.
- Chattam & Wells. Hand-built pocketed-coil hybrids with reinforced center support and a substantial comfort layer.
- Eastman House. Zoned hybrid construction in roughly the price band Posturepedic occupies.
- Spring Air and Englander. The value end of zoned support, if the budget is the binding constraint.
All of them sit in our hybrid mattress collection.
Why the valley showroom matters more than the brand
Encino, Sherman Oaks, Tarzana and Studio City sleep hot for a good part of the year, and bedrooms in the older housing stock along Ventura frequently have no central air. That pushes the decision toward a coil core rather than an all-foam one, because airflow through pocketed coils does more for temperature than any cooling cover. Our cooling range is built around that.
It also means the ten minutes you spend lying on a mattress matters more than the badge on the label. Two hybrids at the same price can feel completely different at the shoulder, and no spec sheet will tell you which one suits you.
Getting here from Encino
Studio City is the closest showroom, at 12306 Ventura Blvd, roughly ten minutes east. Call ahead on (800) 218-3578 and tell them your sleep position and what you have been sleeping on, and they will have three or four beds ready rather than walking you down the whole floor.

Frequently asked questions
Do you have a showroom in Encino?
No. Our five showrooms are Koreatown, West LA, La Brea and Hancock Park, Studio City, and Glendale. Studio City is the closest to Encino, about ten minutes east on Ventura Boulevard.
Do you sell Sealy Posturepedic mattresses?
No, we do not carry the Sealy line. Sealy is sold through authorized dealers across Southern California and directly from Sealy.
What do you carry that gives the same zoned support?
Stearns & Foster is the closest, from the same parent company and positioned above Posturepedic in that company's own lineup. Chattam & Wells and Eastman House build the same zoned pocketed-coil structure, with Eastman House closest on price.
Which mattress is best for a hot valley bedroom?
A hybrid with a pocketed coil core, rather than an all-foam bed. Air moves through coils and it does not move through a solid foam block, which matters far more than a gel infusion or a cooling cover. See our cooling mattresses.
Can I get delivery to Encino?
Yes. Encino is well inside our delivery area. Delivery is free on orders of $499 or more after discounts, and same-day is a $100 upgrade if you order by 4 PM.
