Tempur-Pedic on its own terms
What Tempur-Pedic does better than almost anyone is pressure redistribution. The TEMPUR material responds to body heat and weight, so it forms a close cradle around a shoulder or hip instead of pushing back against it. If that's your situation, it's a legitimately good reason to consider one — and it's a reason no foam mattress can match.
The adjustability also matters if your body is a moving target. Pregnancy, post-surgery recovery, a flare-up of back pain — being able to soften or firm the bed in ten seconds is genuinely useful.
Where it falls short: it's a mattress with a machine in it.
