At 16.5 inches with 3 inches of GOLS-certified organic latex, an integrated pillow top, GOTS organic cotton cover, organic wool fire barrier, 660-Series pocketed coils, and hand-tufted construction, it represents the most premium certified organic mattress in the Eastman House lineup, at just $1,599 Queen.
Three inches of GOLS certified organic latex is significantly more than the Firm (which uses latex as a comfort layer) or the Plush (which distributes latex across its 15.5-inch profile). The integrated pillow top adds additional surface cushioning above the latex. Hand-tufting anchors every layer permanently, the pillow top cannot shift, bunch, or separate from the mattress body over time. The 660-Series pocketed coils underneath prevent bottoming out despite the deep comfort layers. This is the softest Avalon at approximately 2-3/10 firmness.
