The Royal Sands Firm is Eastman House’s premium gel memory foam hybrid. Gel particles infused into the memory foam draw heat away from the body while the foam contours to pressure points. The pocketed coil system underneath provides responsive support, motion isolation, and airflow through the mattress core. Foam-encased edge support extends the usable sleep surface to the edges.
The gel-infused comfort foam layer (2 inches) runs measurably cooler than traditional closed-cell memory foam. A 1.5-inch foam transition layer provides gradual support building between the soft comfort foam and the firm 8.5-inch pocketed coil system below. The firm configuration (approximately 6-7/10) provides more contouring than a traditional innerspring firm but with enough support for back sleepers to maintain alignment.
