Brooklyn Bedding questions, answered.

Do all Medium models feel the same?
No. Materials, cushioning and support construction differ between the families and the builds. Compare the same model in different feels, then try your shortlist in a showroom. A shared firmness label is a starting point, not proof of identical measured feel. View the comfort guide for what separates the four families.
What does Cloud Pillow Top add?
In the listed Signature and Aurora Cloud versions it adds quilted surface cushioning with phase change material under the cover. Top style is separate from firmness: a Firm Cloud Pillow Top exists, so choose the exact Soft, Medium or Firm build and compare the current selected-size price. Each Cloud version is a separate product at its own price, never a universal upgrade charge. Read the top-style guide, or compare the two Signature Medium models side by side.
What do LX and Elite mean?
Within the current ThermoBalance range, LX marks the builds whose listings document Talalay latex in the comfort section, and Elite marks the builds that add a separate zoned lumbar foam layer above a reinforced coil core in the inspected Medium records. Standard, LX, Elite and LX Elite are four distinct builds sold as their own products. Check each build and feel for its own layers rather than assuming they share one stack; a higher price is not automatically a better fit. View the ThermoBalance models with your size kept, or read about all four builds in the mattress types guide.
Which cooling features are included?
Read the exact product's cover and comfort-layer details. The inspected Signature and Aurora listings describe a GlacioTex cover, and the ThermoBalance listings describe ThermoCool and ThermoPhase components. Inclusion depends on the model and the build, and cooling feel varies with the sleeper, the bedding and the room, so no temperature figure is promised. Browse the cooling mattresses collection for other cooling-focused options.

About brooklyn bedding mattresses at LA Mattress

What Makes Brooklyn Bedding Different

Brooklyn Bedding manufactures mattresses in Phoenix, Arizona. Our lineup includes Signature Hybrid, Aurora Luxe, CopperFlex and ThermoBalance. Construction and firmness options vary by model; compare the specifications and available choices on the individual product listing.

Factory-direct manufacturing also keeps pricing well under the national luxury brands at comparable coil counts and foam densities.

The Brooklyn Bedding Lineup We Carry

The families differ mainly in how much cooling technology sits in the comfort layer and how deep that layer runs.

  • Signature Hybrid: the core value tier. Pocketed coils under CertiPUR-US foam comfort layers. The most straightforward hybrid in the range and where most shoppers start.
  • Signature Hybrid Cloud Pillow Top: the same Signature coil build with a plush pillow top for a deeper surface, without changing the support underneath.
  • Aurora Luxe: the cooling flagship. Phase-change cover fabric paired with a copper-infused comfort layer, built for people who sleep hot.
  • Aurora Luxe Cloud Pillow Top: the Aurora cooling stack with a plusher top, for hot sleepers who also want more give at the shoulders and hips.
  • CopperFlex: copper-gel memory foam over pocketed coils, pairing memory foam contouring with the responsiveness and edge support of a coil unit.
  • CopperFlex Pro: a deeper copper-gel foam layer and more coils than standard CopperFlex, for extra pressure relief without giving up support.
  • ThermoBalance: a cooling cover over foam and pocketed coils, the entry point into the most aggressive cooling family in the lineup.
  • ThermoBalance LX: a deeper cooling comfort layer on the ThermoBalance coil base, for hot sleepers who want more cushioning.
  • ThermoBalance Elite: the tallest build, with the deepest comfort layer and the most coils.
  • ThermoBalance LX Elite: the flagship, combining the LX cooling layers with the Elite coil unit.

Soft, Medium or Firm: How to Choose

Because every model is built in all three firmnesses, choosing the model and choosing the feel are separate decisions. Pick the family for the cooling and construction you want, then pick the firmness for how you actually sleep.

  • Soft: the deepest sink, and the usual choice for side sleepers. Letting the shoulder and hip drop into the comfort layer is what keeps the spine straight when you lie on your side.
  • Medium: the middle build, and the one most couples land on. Enough contouring for a side sleeper without letting a back sleeper’s hips drop out of alignment, which makes it the safest pick when two people want different things.
  • Firm: the flattest support surface, and the usual choice for back and stomach sleepers, heavier shoppers, and anyone whose lower back complains when the hips sink.

If you are not sure which way you lean, our two-minute sleep quiz narrows it to a category, and you can lie on the finalists in person afterwards.

How Brooklyn Bedding Keeps You Cool

Cooling is the brand’s main engineering focus, and the lineup approaches it three different ways rather than one.

  • Copper-infused foam: copper conducts heat away from the surface instead of letting it pool where your body touches the bed. Used across the CopperFlex family and in the Aurora Luxe comfort layer.
  • Phase-change cover fabric: the cover absorbs heat as it changes state, which is what produces the cool-to-the-touch feel when you first lie down. Aurora Luxe and the ThermoBalance family use it.
  • Pocketed-coil airflow: any hybrid breathes better than a solid foam core because air moves through the coil unit. Every model here is a hybrid, so this is the baseline rather than an upgrade.

If cooling is your priority, compare these against the rest of our cooling mattresses.

Brooklyn Bedding Compared to All-Foam Beds

The trade-off between a hybrid and an all-foam mattress is responsiveness against contouring. Memory foam mattresses excel at pressure relief and motion isolation, but they can sleep warm and can feel slow to move on. A Brooklyn Bedding hybrid keeps a foam comfort layer for the contouring while the pocketed coils add bounce, edge support and airflow that foam cannot match. If you like the hug of memory foam but have found it too hot, or too much work to change position on, CopperFlex is usually the model that solves both at once.

Brooklyn Bedding Compared to Luxury Flagship Hybrids

Against the national flagship hybrids, Brooklyn Bedding competes on construction rather than on name. At comparable coil counts and comfort-layer depths the factory-direct pricing lands lower, and the three firmness builds mean you are not paying a premium to approximate a feel that a less expensive bed builds in directly. Where the flagships still win is specialised zoning and proprietary foam formulations. Both are worth lying on, which is what a showroom floor is for.

Are Brooklyn Bedding mattresses good for hot sleepers?

Yes, cooling is the brand’s primary focus. Aurora Luxe and the ThermoBalance family use phase-change cover fabric, and the CopperFlex line uses copper-gel foam. All ten models are hybrids, so the coil unit adds airflow on top of whatever the comfort layer is doing.

What is the difference between Soft, Medium and Firm?

They are three separate constructions, not one mattress relabelled. Soft has the deepest comfort layer and suits side sleepers. Firm has the flattest support surface and suits back and stomach sleepers. Medium sits between the two and is the usual choice for couples.

Is Brooklyn Bedding made in the USA?

Brooklyn Bedding operates its mattress factory in Phoenix, Arizona. Manufacturing location is not the same as the origin of every component. For a particular mattress, check its product details or contact our team before ordering.
