Harvard Health reports that, in a survey of 268 people with low back pain, very hard mattresses were associated with the poorest sleep quality. The survey found no sleep-quality difference between medium-firm and firm mattresses.

Is a firmer mattress always better?
No single firmness suits everyone. Compare actual models and your comfort rather than relying on a firmness label. Try your shortlist in person.
Memory foam or hybrid?
Compare the specific memory foam and hybrid models. Notice how each cushions you and responds as you move. A construction label does not guarantee comfort or pain relief.
How should I compare mattresses in store?
Try two or three feels in your usual positions. Check turning, getting in and out, and pillow comfort. A short visit helps build a shortlist; overnight comfort may differ.
Is my base compatible?
Check the exact mattress and base requirements, including selected size and support spacing. Open the relevant product details; do not infer compatibility from an illustration.
What does the comfort exchange cover?
One same-size comfort exchange is available after at least 30 nights and within 120 nights of delivery. There is no exchange fee. Bring the mattress back and pick up the replacement yourself at no charge, or choose pickup and redelivery by our team for $100 total. Pay any increase for a higher-priced replacement; there is no refund of the difference for a lower-priced one. Existing exclusions apply. It is not an unconditional refund or a medical outcome guarantee.
